There are many variables which come into play, hence each environment is different. The Alabama Jumper has two main beneficial components. First, it is an excellent composting earthworm for your garden or lawn areas even in hard packed clay and sandy soils. Since there are no hard facts or statistics on Alabama Jumpers as compared to other red worms, I figured I would keep an eye on these guys and monitor them. Video displaying the Red Wiggler worm, European Nightcrawler, African Nightcrawler and the Alabama Jumper side by side with a little added information. Now for anyone unfamiliar with Alabama Jumpers, these red worms that readily live in clay and sandy soils. They have a tough skin which enables them to survive under the harsher conditions most red worms would have difficulty surviving. |
